Family Resource Center Director

Job Description

The Director of the Taunton and Attleboro Family Resource Center’s (FRC’s) is responsible for managing the FRC’s contractual relationships, as well as both its relationship with the ASO and its adherence to all Administrative Service Organization (ASO) guidelines and requirements. The Director supervises the Program Managers of both the Taunton and Attleboro FRC’s. The Director also manages all communications with EOHHS and DCF and ensures adherence to contractual obligations. The Director shall work directly with Family Members as needed. The Director may assume some of the functions of the Program Manager as needed. The Program Director is responsible to fulfill all OCY policies, practices and procedures in a timely, thorough, and professional manner. All responsibilities work toward the ultimate goal of helping the Family Resource Center Network to be welcoming to all and a culturally responsive safety net for families and community members.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services or similar field preferred.
• Five years’ experience in youth and family development, at least three of which should be in a supervisory capacity.
• Demonstrated ability to direct and control projects involving diverse racial, ethnic and educational backgrounds.
• Strong commitment to youth and family leadership and empowerment; ability to work sensitively and effectively with youth and families of diverse backgrounds.
• Success in creating collaborative relationships or coalitions; experience negotiating and working with community organizations and public agencies.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; excellent interpersonal skills with a non-judgmental approach and style; ability to build team skills.
• Valid Massachusetts Driver’s License and good driving record – Must be able to drive daily.
• Must be able to sit, stand and walk during the workday.
