Qualifications:
Knowledge: Minimum High School diploma or GED. Associate's degree preferred.
Experience: A minimum of five years experience in maintenance and supervision.
Skills/Physical/Working Conditions: Must possess a valid North Carolina driver's license and be insurable by Eliada's insurance carriers. The position requires frequent local travel. Ability to lift 50 pounds. Standing 65%, Sitting 25%, and Bending 10%.

Works under supervision of the Chief Operating Officer. The Facilities Director oversees all other maintenance personnel and contracted workers. Is responsible for the upkeep and maintenance (preventive and corrective) of all owned or leased vehicles, buildings and grounds.
Major Responsibilities
- Responsible for developing, updating, and implementing a preventive maintenance annual plan.
- Responsible for regular inspections of all physical properties to insure proper operation of all equipment.
- Supervision of Facilities staff.
- Recommend need for repairs, equipment replacement, etc. and seek bids as needed.
- Work closely with the Performance and Quality Improvement department and the Development department and the Farm program to help meet agency objectives.
- Responsible for the swimming pool and its operation.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks involved in the coordination of maintenance activities.
- Serve as a member of the Safety Committee.
- Ensures the provision of quality services to clients through participation in the agency's PQI process.
- Displays competence and responsiveness to cultural differences present in both customer and employee population.
- Other duties as assigned.
