Job Description Summary
The Executive Director - Primary Care Service Line oversees and manages the Primary Care service line and processes within MarinHealth Medical Network’s (MHMN) purview under the direction of the President. Responsible for ensuring quality of care, patient-first focus, and adequate patient access in daily operations through fiscal responsibility, resource allocation, continual process improvement, quality assurance, and collaboration with physician and administrative leadership. Works with the specialty leadership teams toward the end goal of comprehensive care through organizational strategies and clinically integrated, quality outcomes. Develops service lines that meet the needs of the patient population and tracks progress against stated goals or milestones. Contributes to strategic planning, direction, and goal setting for the clinical service line in collaboration with senior management. Establishes departmental policies, practices, and procedures that have a significant impact on the organization and works collaboratively with medical staff, leadership, medical directors, nursing, and other members of the healthcare team in implementing “best practice” guidelines and protocols to support high-quality services.

Qualifications
License & Certifications:
- Active RN licensure in California (Or ability to obtain by start date)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Health Care Administration, Business Management, Business Administration or a related field.
- Graduate of accredited school of nursing required sufficient education to obtain a valid California RN license, highly desired.
- Masters degree is highly desirable.
- 8-10 years experience in a multi-clinic ambulatory healthcare environment.
- Knowledge/experience with EMR and/or practice management systems (use of Epic a plus)
- Manages and develops the Primary Care service line operations and staff to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
- Routinely assesses community health needs and clinic programs; implements appropriate new programs and adapts existing programs to maintain and improve quality of care and services
- Monitors and analyzes business processes for effectiveness and efficiency.
- Creates, develops, implements, and monitors initiatives to maximize service line performance and achieve key operational goals.
- Acts as a liaison between practice leaders, staff, and senior management to address business needs.
- Ensures compliance with organizational policies and procedures and offers expertise in resource management.
- Possesses excellent communication skills (verbal and written) for internal and external stakeholders.
- Leads projects as needed within MHMN as well as with affiliates, ensuring business goals are met.
- Demonstrates meticulous attention to detail in all areas of responsibility.
- Provides solutions to complex business issues and identifies areas for continuous improvement.
- Ability to drive to/from various clinic locations (requires a California Driver’s License and automobile insurance in good standing).
