Scion Nonprofit Staffing is excited to introduce an exceptional opportunity for a Chief Advancement Officer position at a financial institution based in Maryland. We seek a dynamic CAO to oversee daily operations, compliance, and strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate will manage enterprise-wide risk, lead project management efforts, and ensure adherence to banking regulations. This on-site role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills to drive organizational growth and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in creating and managing the strategic plan and growth initiatives.
  • Oversee enterprise-wide risk and compliance programs, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Establish processes for managing compliance issues and corrective actions.
  • Develop contingency plans for potential crises impacting operations or financial stability.
  • Review audit findings and report on remediation plans.
  • Manage the activities of the Risk Manager and Compliance department.
  • Coordinate annual risk assessments, including compliance management and fair lending.
  • Act as a liaison between the organization and regulatory authorities, consultants, and auditors.
  • Oversee vendor management and third-party risk management processes.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to project managers throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Monitor project portfolios to ensure timelines, budgets, and resource allocations are optimized.
  • Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local banking laws and regulations.
  • Review and negotiate legal documents, including customer agreements and vendor contracts.
  • Manage foreclosure proceedings and liaise with attorneys during property repossession.
  • Track and report on loss mitigation efforts, including recovery rates.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree; advanced degree preferred
  • 10+ years of management experience
  • PMP and CRCM or CCBCO certifications
  • Banking industry and regulatory experience
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Expertise in data management and analytics
  • Strong financial services background preferred
  • Experience with banking regulators preferred
  • Ability to lead multiple high-priority initiatives simultaneously is a must

Compensation And Benefits

  • Competitive salary range of $205,000 - $225,000 depending on experience.
  • Comprehensive benefits package including PTO, Sick Leave, and Holidays.
