We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team. This position is crucial in evaluating vehicle damage, preparing accurate repair estimates, and communicating clearly with customers and insurance partners. About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team. This position is crucial in evaluating vehicle damage, preparing accurate repair estimates, and communicating clearly with customers and insurance partners. You will be the bridge between the repair process, our customers, and insurance companies—ensuring each repair starts on the right track.
What You’ll Do
- Examine damaged vehicles to identify necessary repairs, replacements, or repainting.
- Assess vehicle damage through detailed inspections.
- Prepare accurate cost estimates for labor and parts.
- Draft and submit insurance forms outlining repair costs.
- Communicate with customers in a professional, transparent manner regarding damages, repair timelines, costs, and insurance details.
- Create work orders for required repairs and enter them into our system.
- Maintain organized records of all repair work and estimates.
- Experience: 1–3+ years in collision repair estimating or a related automotive field.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of vehicle structures, parts replacement, and repair processes.
- Communication Skills: Able to explain repairs and costs clearly to customers and negotiate effectively with insurance companies.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous in inspections, estimates, and documentation.
- Physical Ability: Able to lift up to 35 lbs regularly and occasionally over 70 lbs; comfortable with climbing, kneeling, crouching, and other physical movements required in inspections.
