We are seeking an Entry-Level Transportation Engineer to join our Transportation Department in New Haven, CT and work as a member of a team on a variety of projects focusing on roadway and traffic design projects.

Key Responsibilities


  • Assist in the design and analysis of transportation systems, including roadways, intersections, bike paths, and public transit infrastructure.

  • Conduct traffic studies, data collection, and analysis using industry-standard tools.

  • Prepare engineering drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including urban planners, architects, and environmental scientists.

  • Assist in writing technical reports and presenting findings to stakeholders.

  • Support project management activities, including scheduling, budgeting, and quality assurance.




Skills, Knowledge and Expertise


  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering

  • EIT registration preferred

  • Intermediate skills in AutoCAD, MicroStation and Synchro preferred

  • Experience with construction and/or land surveying is a plus

  • Experience with CTDOT
