Your Day.
As an Employee Relations Manager, you need to know how to:
- Work with management at all levels to advise on disciplinary decisions and assist with documentation of performance improvement plans
- Guide supervisors in written and verbal communication in all aspects of employee relations and performance management
- Ensure compliance with company policy, as well as employment and discrimination laws
- Working with the Director of HR and other company management, assist with the design and monitoring of introductory evaluations and the annual performance evaluation process
- Assist supervisors by educating on one-on-one meeting expectations and content
- Manage and monitor compliance with approved leaves and accommodations
- Work with employees and supervisors to determine reasonable accommodations
- Oversee employee recognition processes and morale activities
- Plan and implement employee relations programs and large employee events
- Assist with PHMG representation at events such as job fairs, community events, or charitable activities
- Work as an integral part of the Human Resources and overall management teams

- Bachelor of Science in Human Resources, Business Administration, or other related field
- PHR, SPHR, SHRM- CP, or SHRM- SCP
- Three or more years of experience working in employee relations or as an HR Generalist with an emphasis in employee relations
- Experience and knowledge of leave benefits and regulations preferred
- Knowledge of employment law, including FLSA, ADA, ADEA, PDA, FMLA, Title VII, USERRA, and other discrimination laws
- Familiarity with DOL, EEOC, and Idaho Human Rights Commission process
- Strong interpersonal, coaching, and negotiation skills
- Ability to think critically and make reasoned decisions
- Strong writing and verbal communication skills
- Ability to speak in small and large groups
