Why we have this role @ Koala

This role is the commercial and creative heartbeat of Koala's US website. We are looking for a master of product storytelling who will act as the critical glue between our US marketing team and our global creative team. Your mission is to translate Koala's brand magic and product innovation into a compelling, localized online experience that resonates deeply with the American consumer. While you will be accountable for US ecommerce KPIs, your primary lever for growth will be through world-class product marketing, strategic content localization, and creating a site journey that feels uniquely Koala, for the US.

What key responsibilities does this role have @ Koala?

  • Manage the US website's content and merchandising to optimize the customer journey and key ecommerce KPIs, partnering with global and local teams to deliver a truly localized brand and product experience.
  • Analyze the US customer journey to identify key storytelling and merchandising opportunities, partnering with the Global Ecommerce Manager to develop a testing roadmap that lifts revenue per session (RPS).
  • Lead creative content briefing and implementation for campaigns, PDPs, and landing pages, ensuring messaging resonates with local audiences and supports paid traffic.
  • Own the performance and analysis of key US commercial metrics (CVR, AOV, RPS), reporting on trends and providing context on how onsite content and merchandising strategies are impacting results.
  • Partner with SEO and AEO specialists to build a US-focused content strategy that captures local search intent, elevates our product stories, and drives qualified organic traffic.
  • Lead the development and optimization of landing pages tailored for acquisition and retention channels, ensuring they are strategically designed to support campaign goals, drive conversions, and deliver a seamless customer journey.
  • Act as the central point of contact to translate US campaign strategy into a seamless onsite experience, briefing the global creative team and ensuring all site content—from landing pages to PDPs—is cohesive, compelling, and primed for conversion.

What You’ll Bring

  • 4-5+ years of experience in DTC eCommerce management or eCommerce product marketing.
  • Deep understanding of the US market and consumer behavior, with the ability to feed sharp insights into creative briefs, landing pages, and messaging strategies.
  • Deep understanding of eCommerce platforms (Shopify Plus preferred) with experience leveraging web analytics and testing insights to inform a stronger content and merchandising strategy.
  • Proven track record of improving site conversion and commercial outcomes through compelling product storytelling, strategic merchandising, and impactful campaign execution.
  • Excellent project management skills, a strong problem solver with clear attention to detail, and strong design instincts.
  • A masterful collaborator, with the ability to translate US marketing objectives into clear, actionable requirements for creative and technical teams.
  • Strong understanding of SEO, digital marketing, customer journey design, and upsell strategies.
  • A highly analytical and customer-obsessed mindset, with a knack for uncovering the 'why' behind the data and translating it into actionable customer-facing strategies.
  • Execution-focused, able to manage product launches, campaign pages, site updates, QA, and performance monitoring end to end.
  • West Coast–based (PST) highly preferable to ensure alignment and responsiveness with global product, engineering, and creative teams.
  • Global ecommerce experience and working with international markets is a plus.
