Dynatrace Engineer

We are seeking a Dynatrace Engineer for the end-to-end implementation, configuration, and optimization of Dynatrace monitoring solutions with a strong focus on migrating from Dynatrace Managed to SaaS environments. This role demands deep technical expertise in observability platforms, cloud-native architectures, and automation tooling.

In This Role, You Will

• Dynatrace Setup & Configuration:
• Install and configure Dynatrace for IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS environments across Azure, AWS, and GCP.
• Enable Real User Monitoring (RUM), Synthetic Monitoring, and Digital Experience Monitoring (DEM).
• Define tagging strategies, alerting profiles, management zones, and API integrations.
• SaaS Migration:
• Lead the assessment and planning for migration from Dynatrace Managed to SaaS.
• Develop detailed migration plans including timelines, resource allocation, and risk mitigation.
• Execute migration using tools like Dynatrace Configuration Manager and Terraform Provider.
• Performance & Availability Monitoring:
• Monitor key business transactions and system availability.
• Troubleshoot latency, availability, and infrastructure issues.
• Maintain 97%+ adherence to security policy SLAs.
• Automation & AI/ML Integration:
• Leverage Dynatrace Davis AI for anomaly detection, root cause analysis, and predictive analytics.
• Implement AI-driven remediation and business impact monitoring.
• Collaboration & Documentation:
• Work closely with application teams to align monitoring with SLAs.
• Create and maintain documentation, KB articles, and test plans.
• Participate in change management and deployment cycles.
  

What You’ll Need To Succeed (required Skills)

• 5–8 years of experience in Dynatrace implementation and administration.
• Proven experience in SaaS migration projects using Dynatrace.
• Proficiency in Terraform, Jenkins, and scripting (Bash, Python).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
• Strong understanding of observability concepts and ITIL processes

Applications will be accepted until Oct 10th, 2025. Annual Compensation range is between $80,000-$120,000. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
