The Dock Coordinator manages loading dock operations by overseeing the inbound and outbound flow of goods, coordinating with carriers and warehouse staff, and ensuring efficient, safe, and accurate handling of materials. Key duties include scheduling trucks, operating forklifts and other equipment, verifying shipments, maintaining records in a warehouse management system (WMS), and ensuring a clean and safe dock environment.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Operate heavy equipment, such as forklifts and powered pallet jacks, to load, unload, and move equipment
  • Use warehouse management systems (WMS) to check trucks in and out, process shipments, verify orders, and maintain inventory accuracy
  • Generate and process necessary paperwork, such as pick tickets, bill of ladings (BOLs), and other shipping documentation
  • Assist the warehouse team, as needed, in cleaning, presenting, photographing, videoing, documenting and skidding inbound equipment
  • Liaise with internal teams (buying, sales, and logistics) and external carriers to ensure smooth operations and timely deliveries
  • Possess a strong work ethic, great attention to detail and have previous experience in a warehousing or manufacturing operation along with an outstanding attendance record
  • Prior forklift experience is strongly preferred
  • Required to use hand tools, read manufacturer’s manuals and drawings
  • Ability to use the computer to enter information and upload documents and photographs; can pick up systems knowledge easily
  • Possess the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals


Physical/Travel Requirements:

  • High school diploma is required
  • Valid driver’s license required and have the physical ability to frequently lift over 50 pounds
  • Ability to operate forklift
