Role

We are looking for an intellectually curious and highly motivated Director of Revenue Analytics to be a foundational member of our Data team! You will lead, grow and scale a division of the analytics team that is focused on being experts in the business, providing rapid analysis and actionable predictive insights. You will have to balance the human element of leading the team, with the analytical realities of a rapidly changing and growing business. You should feel comfortable scaling and leading a team of up to 20 people.

In this role, you will own end-to-end financial data integrity for a billion dollar GMV marketplace. You will be the subject matter expert for Whatnot’s P&L as understood through data and its revenue levers including but not limited to Orders, Ad Revenue, Refunds and Reversals, Payment Processing, Logistics, and Incentives. Working with cross-functional teams, you will make decisions on trade-offs between top line metric growth and profitability. Additionally, you will:

  • Lead and grow a division of the Analytics team of data scientists and data analysts

  • Own your domain, responsible for the results and analytics of your area to drive insight and informed recommendations for the business.

  • Create and share the vision for the broader Analytics team and work with leadership to transform it into a driving force in strategy and operations of the company

  • Foster a culture of analytical experts that is focused on maximizing the customer experience to drive top line and bottom line growth.

  • Coach, develop and scale a team that is excited to be a part of the organization in anticipation of the growing demands of the business

  • Shape the company and analytics roadmap through data driven decisions across core functions of the business and executive leadership.

  • Spearhead the strategic data driven vision that captures billion dollar GMV opportunities

  • Organize and shape the collective understanding of business health and opportunities through various data sources both internal and external.

  • Act as cross functional leader driving cohesive decision making and actions across teams.

We offer flexibility to work from home or from one of our global office hubs, and we value in-person time for planning, problem-solving, and connection. Team members in this role must live within commuting distance of our San Francisco, Los Angeles, Seattle, and New York hubs.
