The Director, R&D Strategic Initiatives – Decatur, will be responsible for coordination and support of strategic R&D initiatives for the Decatur and Davis R&D organizations, with integration/alignment with the global R&D organization.

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours.
If hired, employees will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base pay (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
The pay range for this position is expected to be between:
$142,100.00 - $231,100.00
Salaried Incentive Plan
The total compensation package for this position will also include annual bonus and a long-term incentive plan

The Broad Scope Of Initiatives And Responsibilities May Include
- Strategic planning and support related to the organizational and geographic setup of R&D in North America
- Supporting the rollout and continued operation of the new project management and time-tracking tool (Planisware), including serving as an expert resource/super-user
- Coordination and consolidation of CapEx planning for NA R&D, including tracking changing priorities/spend and ensuring transparency by regular reporting to the R&D LT
- Consolidation of project activities across Decatur and Davis into monthly high-level status reports for R&D Senior Management
- Providing support to the VP, Technical Groups, R&D in the execution of actions related to the newly-formed NA Executive Council, (6) Supporting Decatur VPs in the collection of inputs for ADM Board of Directors reports
- Assisting in Quality assessments as part of R&D support to operations
- Assisting with the financial tracking and reporting for ADM-funded external R&D projects/collaborations, as well as externally funded projects (e.g., government-sponsored projects).
- This position reports to the VP, Technical Groups, R&D, and is located at the Decatur, IL R&D center.
