What you’ll do

Responsibilities

We are looking to add a Director of Quality Assurance to our team. Under the direction of the Chief Clinical Officer, you are responsible for leading a robust continuous quality improvement effort ensuring clinics maintain standards of access, quality, and safety across a national network of outpatient mental health clinics serving veterans and military families. Specifically, you will:

  • Provide direct oversight and direction to the QA managers in the implementation of quality assurance implementation and initiatives for the network;
  • Provide oversight into the development and operation of the Patient Safety Organization’s work product and sentinel event process for the network;
  • Conducts consistent monitoring of network trends and outcomes to implement network-wide solutions and policies;
  • Identifies and/or create solutions in response to time-sensitive requests to ensure continuous quality operations across business lines;
  • Provide targeted, clinic-specific support for higher-level CQI initiatives as needed;
  • Provide Network-level oversight of CARF accreditation program and standards;
  • Provide oversight and leads QA and KPI monitoring and reporting for Central Office QA team and provides support to Clinical Programs KPI as appropriate;
  • Collaboratively develops clinical risk management policies and procedures and oversees implementation across the network;
  • Conducts periodic clinic site visits, as needed;
  • Supports utilization and development of data and dashboards to support practice and process improvement initiatives in clinics and across the network;
  • Manages and supports team of quality assurance managers;
  • Serves as a liaison and representative for CVN in externally facing meeting (e.g., the CVN Stakeholder Advisory Panel, etc);
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

What’s Required

  • 8+ years of quality management in healthcare
  • 3+ years management experience
  • RN, MSW, MPH, MHA, PsyD or PhD, in Social Work, Public Health or Psychology or related field
  • 5+ years of electronic health report experience from a systems and process perspective
  • Prior risk management/patient safety experience, including experience in trend analysis and report generation, in a healthcare system
  • Computer Literacy and Proficiency in MS Office, specifically Word and Excel
  • Ability to maintain flexibility and work well in a fast paced, constantly changing environment
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the organization
  • Exceptional organizational skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Veteran, Military Spouse, or experience in the veteran community a plus
  • Some travel required

The annual base salary range for this role is $113,000 - $138,000 (USD), which does not include discretionary annual bonus compensation or our comprehensive benefits package. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things.

This position may require limited access to Protected Health Information (PHI) in order to carry out identified job responsibilities. The type of PHI to which this position will have access, and any conditions on such access must be approved and documented prior to receiving such access.
