The Director of Recruiting at the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) is responsible for designing, building leading a comprehensive recruiting strategy that supports the ministry's mission to lead every coach and athlete into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ and His church. They will lead the effort to create and provide systems, processes and resources to the global team so that they can build a robust pipeline of spiritually mature, mission-aligned talent to serve in local, regional, and international roles across FCA.

- Agree with, and abide by, FCA's Christian Community Statement.
- Follow a spiritual rhythm including daily prayer and Bible study to seek the Lord's will for FCA.
- Lead, conduct and provide spiritual leadership for staff, volunteers, coaches and athletes through prayer, Bible study, worship and living by example so they are equipped to serve others.
- Connect to and participate in a local church through worship and weekly involvement.
- Conduct yourself in a manner that affirms biblical standards of conduct in accordance with FCA's Christian beliefs (see FCA's Christian Community Statement) at all times.
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and implement a global recruiting strategy aligned with FCA's mission, values, and growth goals. This includes working directly with the EVP of Talent Advancement on this global strategy.
- Lead and collaborate with Regional Directors of Talent Advancement (RDTAs) to support the creation and deployment of Recruiting systems, processes and resources.
- Develop recruiting initiatives to strengthen our diversity and reach of FCA's staff, reflecting the communities we serve.
- Develop and oversee the FCA Internship Program and other early-career pipelines as a foundation for long-term staffing.
- Partner with RDTAs to understand global staffing needs and trends to best resource them.
- Create partnerships to proactively identify, attract, and nurture potential staff and interns, including student-athletes, coaches, church leaders, and ministry-minded professionals. This includes, but is not limited to Career Fairs, Coaches Conventions and Coaches Camps.
- Partner with Training Department and HR to train field staff on best practices in recruiting and onboarding.
- Develop training resources and tools to help local leaders actively recruit within their networks.
- Track and analyze recruitment metrics to assess impact and inform strategic adjustments.
- In partnership with HR, ensure recruitment practices align with FCA policies, Department of Labor guidelines (for interns and employees), and relevant employment laws.
- Strategic Talent Acquisition -- Ability to design, implement, and sustain recruiting strategies that align with FCA's mission and growth goals.
- Leadership & Collaboration -- Demonstrated success in leading teams, influencing across departments, and partnering with Regional and Global leaders.
- Relationship Building -- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with coaches, athletes, ministry leaders, and external partners.
- Data-Driven Decision Making -- Skilled in using recruiting metrics and trends to inform strategies and improve outcomes.
- Communication & Influence -- Excellent written and verbal communication; able to articulate FCA's mission and inspire others to join.
- Belonging & Unity in Christ --Committed to cultivating an environment where every coach, athlete, and staff member feels a sense of belonging and shared purpose, grounded in our unity in Christ. Ensures recruiting practices reflect both the diversity of the communities we serve and the biblical call to oneness in the body of Christ.
- Project & Change Management -- Ability to oversee multiple recruiting initiatives, drive projects from concept to implementation, and adapt to evolving ministry needs.
- Compliance Awareness -- Knowledge of employment law, Department of Labor guidelines, and FCA policies to ensure ethical and legal recruiting practices.
- Spiritual & Cultural Alignment -- Models FCA's Core Values and integrates a Christ-centered approach in all recruiting practices.
- 5 - 10 years' experience in an Recruiter role preferred.
- Associate or bachelor's degree in the related field preferred.
