Job Summary

This is a full-time professional position responsible for the development and execution of TL’s Business Development Plan. The schedule for this position is Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:00pm; weekends and holidays as scheduled.

Responsibilities What You Do

  • Oversee the day to day management of the business development
  • Work closely with several key areas within Transitions including admissions personnel, facility liaisons, and clinical leadership to coordinate admissions and assure quality and timely care to Transitions’ patients. This requires daily communication and coordination with these teams, including attending their team meetings and IDG meetings to liaison between clinical and marketing.
  • Play a key role in creating – and in some cases leading -- strategic initiatives for the organization, working across service line areas and in collaboration with the Vice President of Strategy and Growth to assure Transitions is optimizing operations and services to its patients.
  • Track and communicate across the organization key performance metrics related to referrals and admissions from key referral sources.
  • Play a key role representing Transitions with not only referral sources but other important external industry groups, associations and strategic partners.
  • Manage and attend chamber events, community events, etc. Be an external brand representative for Transitions.
  • Identify, analyze, target, and generate consistent and continuous referral stream from qualified referral sources because of an effective and systematic external business development plan yielding both census and revenue growth.
  • Set tough but achievable strategically-aligned goals and targets for new business development for the medical sales team members.
  • Supervise Provider Relation Interview and hire new members of the business development team.
  • Implement new business initiatives in collaboration with the TL clinical

  • In collaboration with Vice President of Strategy and Growth, form strategic partnerships with other companies to leverage their existing networks. Help to manage large corporate accounts and build referrals through key partnerships.
  • Negotiate new contracts with referral customers and maintain existing
  • Work with the Vice President of Strategy and Growth and marketing team to create marketing materials and tools to support existing and new initiatives. Develop and provide targeted marketing strategies and materials designed to increase awareness of TL services in hospitals, assisted living facilities, skilled nursing homes, physician’s offices, insurance companies/alternate payor sources.
  • Monitor customer satisfaction with existing and new referral customers to ensure excellent service
  • Establish and revise assigned territories, as
  • Provide education to TL staff on marketing strategies and the importance of building and maintaining relationships with referral sources within the medical communityProvide ongoing education for Provider Relations staff on TL programs, supports, and best practices in sales and marketing.
  • Act as a liaison between provider relations staff and TL clinical staff to promote
  • Provide information to patients and families about TL services as requested by the Access
  • Collaborate with community engagement in the participation in professional societies and activities related to the health care industry, which will result in referrals and admissions.
  • Keep abreast of professional developments in the field by reading, attending conferences, and training
  • Monitor and report census/referral activity for accounts; prepare and submit required sales management reports reflecting targets, progress and accomplishments while maintaining a thorough working proficiency and keeping professional contact records current in the customer relationship management tracking system.

Requirements What You Need

  • Five or more years of sales experience, preferably in health care
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations or related discipline
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a self-starter
  • Knowledge of media production, communication, and dissemination techniques and
