The Marketing department executes brand growth and revenue driving campaigns across the club’s business operations, including efforts involving ticket sales, community initiatives, social impact, brand awareness, and more.
The department is seeking a Director, Marketing that will support these campaigns while primarily focusing on traditional and digital advertising mediums including TV, radio, print, OOH, paid social, programmatic display, SEM, etc. This role will also oversee Raysbaseball.com and all email marketing initiatives while overseeing and growing a team of talented marketers.
Duties And Responsibilities

Duties And Responsibilities
- Strategize, develop and lead execution of all traditional and digital advertising campaigns with a focus on single game ticket sales and brand growth.
- Identify and track marketing key performance indicators that will contribute to the growth of the organization.
- In conjunction with the analytics team utilize and manage our consumer database including data acquisition strategy and implementation, data hygiene, segmentation and targeting.
- Lead all marketing automation efforts; provide strategic vision and coordinate with MLB.
- Serve as primary advertising and digital marketing liaison with MLB on RaysBaseball.com, email marketing, and performance media campaigns.
- Provide stewardship of brand guidelines within marketing department as well as counseling other departments on branding questions.
- Manage relationships with outside vendors related to marketing efforts (i.e. agencies, MLB, etc.).
- Identify marketing trends and new technologies that help reach the organization’s business objectives.
- As needed, oversee marketing and advertising efforts around all non-baseball events.
- Oversee administration and updating of internal marketing assets, i.e. concourse TVs, exterior digital boards, etc.
- Assist in the development, execution and evaluation of all annual marketing plans and budgets.
- On an annual basis oversee proof of performance reviews of all corporate partnership led inclusions across advertising, email marketing, and website.
- Hire, train, coach, and evaluate performance of direct reports and determine future personnel needs of the Marketing team.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in sports and entertainment industry in a role focused in traditional or digital marketing
- Experience managing a team.
- Proficiency in HTML is a plus, but not required
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills and experience analyzing and synthesizing large data sets.
- Experience interacting and utilizing BI/Analytics tools such as CDPs, Tableau, Looker, etc.
- Must possess problem-solving capabilities to discover, address and resolve issues.
- Experience managing external vendors.
- Independent worker with close attention to detail.
- Must thrive in a highly collaborative and fast paced work environment.
