Your Role & Responsibilities
Job Summary:
Director H&I North America is responsible for developing, managing, organizing, and directing short and long-term sales and marketing strategies and activities of the team. This role is responsible for growing key principals relationships and acquiring new principals to achieving sales goals for HI&I product lines. The roles is also responsible to drive market segment business development and innovation team including the application lab. There are 6 direct reports : 5 Sales Managers, 1 Business Development Manager, which has application lab and Technical marketing team).

Job Description:
- Provides leadership and direction for the specialty HI&I marketing and sales teams.
- Develops and implements marketing and innovation strategies to increase sales and profitability.
- Establishes and implements strategic growth plan with for specialty ingredients going into HI&I defined markets.
- Secures additional suppliers or products which offer profitable opportunities or identifies opportunities within new industries which could lead to profits.
- Ensures GP growth targets are achieved for specialty products
- Analyzes competitive information to determine competitive strategies.
- Conducts monthly & quarterly market and opportunity pipeline reviews with Executive Management, Sales Manager – Specialties and Producer Partners.
- Provides and oversees product training and industry information provided to sales force.
- Direct and lead application and development Centers on product concepts and campaigns.
- Ensures compliance with all company policies and all regulatory agencies, including but not limited to: Brenntag Code of
- Business Conduct & Ethics, Antitrust Compliance Policy, Confidentiality Agreement, DOL, EEOC etc.
- Supports the vision and mission of the company.
Education and Experience:
- Preferably Post-Secondary Education with a focus in Business, Science or equivalent preferred
- Experience in Home and Institutional markets chemical distribution business, in a sales and marketing or innovation capacity (>5 years)
- Proven Management competencies, including having a track-record of achieving strong growth and delivering against business objectives
- Sound computer skills in the use of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and CRM systems
- Superior verbal and written communication skills
- Strong commercial and business acumen and a problem-solving/can-do attitude
- High self-management capabilities (ability to work on own initiative plus leading team of account managers)
- Good analytical skills, which support the effective management of all sales related activities
- Advanced strategic thinking (business development etc.)
- Previous management experience preferred
- Good people-management skills and ability to motivate
- Demonstrable ability to work collaboratively and have influence with other departments
