Summary
The position is responsible for strategic direction of Dollar Tree and Family Dollar Brands, developing and executing integrated plans, helping differentiate the company from its competitors while re-enforcing with the customer the company values and marketing philosophy in order to strengthen our brand positioning and drive growth in stores and e-Commerce. This includes development, ownership and maintenance of brand standards and style guides to ensure a consistent brand experience across all touchpoints, both internal and external
The role is responsible for the strategic planning and delivery of marketing campaigns, leading efforts with established and emerging Marketing, Media and Promotional strategic partners and platforms, and supporting the overarching goals of the Enterprise marketing department.
This person will leverage data to gain insights, develop customer centric marketing strategies that drive growth, with a focus on continuous optimization and increased effectiveness.

The role is responsible for the strategic planning and delivery of marketing campaigns, leading efforts with established and emerging Marketing, Media and Promotional strategic partners and platforms, and supporting the overarching goals of the Enterprise marketing department.

Responsibilities:
- Own Dollar Tree and Family Dollar banner brands including development and maintenance of brand standards, building brand perception and equity
- Build a clear and defined omnichannel marketing and promotional strategy that is focused on the customer and adapt marketing strategies and tactics to satisfy their needs
- Thorough analysis of customer market research and internal sales / profit data, make fact-based decisions that drive improved marketing efforts and an enhanced customer shopping experience.
- Develop annual marketing plan across owned and paid channels, responsible for driving brand awareness, traffic and revenue, both in stores and online
- Manage advertising processes including creative input, media planning and buying, integrated campaigns and multicultural marketing, ensuring consistently high creative standards that match the enterprise and banner values
- Serve as the thought leader about potential marketing / branding strategies and tactics for the enterprise including idea generation, sponsorship and strategic alliance.
- Continuously drive effectiveness and efficiencies of marketing ROI; leverage the use of best practices marketing plan, technology and measurement to deliver and improve results.
- Manage all 3rd Party relationships that fall within the Brand Management function media and help identify new strategic and business partners to expand and evolve the monetization enterprise.
- Create and manage annual/monthly expense budgets and revenue goals, ensuring all activities are executed on time and on budget. Reporting out regularly performance vs. expense and revenue targets.
- BA/BS. MBA preferred.
- Experience: Minimum ten (10) or more years of Brand Marketing experience in Retail and CPG.
- Demonstrated expertise in Classic Brand Management, creating, executing, and ensuring consistent implementation of a company-wide brand strategy with a track record for having developed and successfully executed creative, customer-oriented multi-media marketing programs.
- Expertise in managing agency relationships. Integrated communications experience, strategic alliance development and strategic planning.
- Strong financial and commercial acumen, quantitative analytics, problem-solving, multi-tasking and prioritization
- Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written – at all levels of management
- Ability to build bridges and alliances with business partners – managing expectations and adeptly communicating strategies and tactics throughout the company
- Demonstrated experience using analytics to make fact-based decisions that improve the effectiveness and the efficiencies of all marketing activities.
- Sense of urgency to quickly and decisively put into place strategic ideas and action plans for execution
- Record of personal leadership and sound judgment, with a track record of attracting, hiring and retaining a strong team of qualified marketing professionals.
