Come along with all your skills to be an impactful member of our design team as a Digital Product Intern!

In this internship role, you’ll join a design team that is highly collaborative and strives towards a shared vision of lowering entry barriers and empowering members with inclusive, accessible, and powerful

experiences.

Your main responsibility will be working hand-in-hand with each of our Digital Product Designers to create detailed research plans, craft poignant research questions, design low-fi wireframes and prototypes, and conduct user testing. This will all serve to test bold new ideas for innovating the way BrickLink users complete their jobs to be done and fuel their passions on our platform.

Start Date Mid to late January 2025 (runs through June 2025)

Location Irvine, California (USA) – Be able to work in a hybrid basis- 3 days in the office and the rest remote (called "Best of Both")

Hourly rate $35.00- $40.00


Core Responsibilities



  • The BrickLink Digital Product Design Intern will report to the Senior Digital Product Design Leader of BrickLink and work with other designers on the team to create the future of BrickLink’s online experiences
  • Be a champion for human centered design, universal design principles, and accessibility by design
  • Help create incredible experiences for shoppers, sellers, and designers
  • Assist in the planning, creation, and execution of user research and user testing
  • Gain deep domain knowledge of the LEGO BrickLink community members
  • Assist in the creation of wireframes and prototypes
  • Be a key stakeholder in the strategic direction of user research and testing
  • Collaborate with digital product designers across multiple product teams to give and receive feedback as well as ensuring alignment across all products
  • Work within and contribute to our design system



Do you have what it takes?



  • Background in digital product design (UX/UI) with experience in user-centric design
  • Experience planning and conducting user research and user testing
  • Ability to work in an agile, multi-functional team, bringing a proactive and optimistic approach to problem-solving
  • Proficiency in building mock-ups, prototypes and high-fidelity designs to visualize and test ideas
  • Confidence in presenting and explaining design work to stakeholders and team members, with a focus on storytelling
  • Solid proficiency in Figma (MUST HAVE)
  • Familiarity with wire framing/ pro-typing
  • Ideal Majors include (but are not limited to) Human Computer Interaction Design or Computer Engineering / UX Design
  • Experience with Miro, User Testing, User Zoom, Dovetail, and Preely a plus!
