About The Role

The Digital Media Manager Social plays a pivotal role in leading Reckitt’s category media activations, with a strategic focus on delivering impactful digital campaigns. This role involves providing critical support to the internal CE team and global teams, ensuring alignment with Reckitt’s overarching media objectives. You will be responsible for translating audience insights from our Connexions process, defining the role of digital platforms, planning & developing success models around key performance indicators (KPIs) such as reach, frequency, and placement strategy.

You will oversee the daily media performance across Social channels (Meta, Tiktok), ensuring campaign optimizations are implemented. You will act as the senior digital expert for key social platform(s) – responsible for developing & updating digital channel playbooks, advising on campaign set-up and leading a team of digital in-house traders to support with the running of campaigns.

The Digital Activation Hub Team at Reckitt Essential Home is a dynamic and highly skilled group dedicated to bridging the gap between marketing strategy and platform execution in digital media activations. This team is at the forefront of digital innovation, leveraging their extensive knowledge across various digital activation platforms to drive excellence in campaign performance. Reporting to the Digital Trading Lead you will be responsible to making sure our Digital media is planned strategically, and executed with precision across activation platforms, thus ensuring the best use of the platform capabilities are harnessed and all media best practices are followed.

Your responsibilities

Strategic (30%):

  • Lead the development and execution of category media activation plans, ensuring they align with Reckitt’s marketing goals
  • Provide strategic support to the internal CE team and global teams, focusing on audience translations, platform roles + capability, critical KPIs &providing inputs into global strategic frameworks
  • Develop and update digital channel playbooks, championing best practices and new platform capabilities.
  • Input into the Global Media Success model by testing and finalizing the key Digital KPIs for each brand across reach, frequency, phasing and placement strategy
  • Present key recommendations during full-year brand planning, advising on digital media channels and in-platform tactics that align with media communications objectives.
  • Showcase planning rigor by utilizing key platform planning tools to provide the best recommendations, ensuring campaigns are strategically sound and optimized for success.

Execution and Optimization (70%):

  • Oversee the daily media performance across key social channels, ensuring campaign optimizations are implemented effectively.
  • Stay close to platform capabilities and betas, identifying areas where they can be used and deployed in our activations.
  • Continually deploy and track media productivity levers for the platform and report back on performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute digital test & learns, driving continuous improvement in media activations.
  • Provide monthly media actualizations to Reckitt finance teams and share weekly optimization insights with local CE Data Analysts.
  • Identify new testing opportunities to drive media activations forward, working with industry partners and internal stakeholders.
  • Proactively share successful case studies and results with wider teams to foster a culture of excellence.

The experience we're looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • Proven hands-on experience in planning & buying successful programmatic and/or paid social/search campaigns. (Min. 5 years of in-platform experience)
  • Demonstrate strong understanding of Paid Social (Meta, TikTok etc) and paid search a plus
  • Previous exposure to using ad verification & ad server platforms such as the likes of DoubleVerify & Google Campaign Manager
  • Experience in managing teams, setting objectives & aiding with task prioritisation
  • Experience in understanding brand planning, marketing goals and objectives to translate them into media plans and activations
  • Understanding of the local media ecosystem a plus

US salary ranges

$110,000.00 - $164,000.00

US pay transparency

The base salary range for this role will vary based on experience in job and industry, training and education, skills relevant to the position, and other factors permitted by law. In addition to the base salary, the position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, which is subject to change each year.
