• You will be responsible for designing and developing web and media-based training programs using Instructional Systems and Graphic Design principles to meet learning objectives across Inflight Service training programs
• This role is part of the Inflight Service Program Development team within our Inflight Service group
  
  

What You'll Do

• Research, create and implement web and media based-training programs for American Airlines flight attendant training
• Work closely with subject matter experts, team members and the Inflight Manual to ensure training content complies with regulatory requirements, meets customer needs and aligns with the vision of American Airlines
• Incorporate a full range of media into training programs, including videos, photos and vector graphics Continuously monitor training content for quality assurance by gathering and applying feedback from multiple sources
• Revise existing web-based training and develop new web-based training in Adobe Captivate, Articulate Storyline 360 and Articulate Rise
• Produce graphics, photos and videos for training materials using Adobe Creative Suite for editing
• Provide LMS administration for all web-based training
• Provide support to learners for web-based training functionality issues
• Coordinate with the FAA, Policies & Procedures, Safety Management and Training Operations to ensure programs are aligned with relative policy changes
• Work independently to develop and deliver high-quality, error-free training products within established deadliness
• Mentor and train team members on new technology and software
• Maintain spreadsheets and process documents to keep team files and media organized and current
• Organize and lead photo and video shoots at various locations
  
  

All you'll need for success

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience/training
• 3+ years of relevant experience
• Experience with Learning Management System (LMS) administration
• Photography and video editing experience
• Ability to create vector graphics with Adobe Illustrator
• Airline operational experience to comprehend cabin crew and Flight Service terminology and procedures
• Background in adult learning, training development, technical writing or communications
• Knowledge of the ADDIE development process & ability to create measurable learning objectives based on Blooms Taxonomy
  
  

Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

• Background in web design and development
• Ability to code HTML and JavaScript
• Experience utilizing virtual reality for qualification training
• Experience with SumTotal LMS administration
  
  

Skills, Licenses & Certifications

• Self-motivated and capable of performing tasks promptly with minimum supervision
• Ability to produce a quality, error-free product while meeting aggressive project timelines
• Aptitude for task analysis, reasoning, fact-finding and problem-solving
• Ability to concurrently handle multiple responsibilities and projects
• Excellent interpersonal skills with experience in team processes
• Intermediate to expert level skill creating web-based training in Adobe Captivate and/or Articulate Storyline Intermediate to expert level skill developing media and graphics in Adobe Creative Suite
• Proven record of identifying opportunities for process improvement and implementing solutions
