Position Overview
The Developer - Business Intelligence plays a key role in creating and sustaining advanced business intelligence solutions within our Enterprise-wide systems reporting frameworks. Their primary focus involves the ongoing development and maintenance of innovative solutions to enhance our capabilities in operational and financial reporting, visualization, and ad hoc analysis that provide our stakeholders and property leadership with actionable insight to drive efficiency and overall company profitability.
The successful candidate for this role will be a fast, clear, and independent thinker who is naturally curious about how things work, is metrics and number savvy, has an analytical mindset and has demonstrated leadership ability. This person will need an ability to see the big picture/whole system and execute on grass root level to rapidly demonstrate impact and value to the organization. Additionally, they are never satisfied with the status quo, can show success in results, and can thrive in a fast-paced, customer-centric, and ever-changing environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Enterprise Analytics’ Data Science and Data Engineering teams to develop, automate, and streamline reoccurring reports and dashboards based on project requirements
- Create, maintain, and automate reoccurring processes, reports, forecasts, and analyses
- Build complex queries and data sets to support report development, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
- Optimize SQL queries and database connections for improved report execution times.
- Transform raw data into statistics, graphics, and summary tables compiled into clean and intuitive executive summary reports to facilitate data-driven decision-making
- Create interactive and visually appealing dashboards to present findings to non-technical team members across all levels of the company using Tableau, Excel, and other tools (including but not limited to SSRS, GCP, and Cognos)
- Reliably maintain delivery of accurate and timely existing reoccurring reports, emphasizing work to automate whenever possible
- Ability to think critically and provide analyses that add insights beyond the original request
- Consolidate fractured reporting into a standardized product for easy visualization and cross-department adoption
- Regularly review and update security configurations to maintain data integrity, accuracy, and confidentiality (per required user access permissions)
- Identify and address performance bottlenecks to ensure efficient data processing and retrieval
- Engage in professional development activities to enhance skills and knowledge
- Performs other related duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications
Additional Duties & Responsibilities:
- 21 Years of age
- Proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Economics, Finance, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Nevada Gaming Control Board registration and any other certification or license, as required by law or policy.
- 2+ years of industry experience required.
- 3+ years of hands-on analytics experience, including querying data and building reports is required
- 3+ years of experience using analytic SQL is required (experience with Big Query a plus)
- 2+ years of experience in BI and Analytics environment (Power BI, Tableau, SSRS, or similar) is required
- Experience in administering, development, and technical support in IBM Cognos Analytics is preferred
- Experience using data sources, human resources, and payroll processing system (UKG), property management system (LMS), and gaming systems (e.g.: ACSC, IGT) is preferred
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g. GCP) is a plus.
- Ability to document processes, configurations, and best practices.
- Ability to communicate effectively in a positive/upbeat fashion utilizing English, both in oral and written form
- Have interpersonal skills with focused attention to guest needs to deal effectively with all business contacts
- Maintain a professional, neat, and well-groomed appearance adhering to Company appearance standards
- Maintain consistent adherence to the Venetian and Palazzo Unmatched Guest Service Standards
Must be able to:
- Lift or carry 10 pounds, unassisted, in the performance of specific tasks, as assigned
- Physically access all areas of the property and drive areas with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Maintain composure under pressure and consistently meet deadlines with internal and external customers and contacts.
- Ability to interact appropriately and effectively with guests, management, other team members, and outside contacts.
- Ability for prolonged periods of time to walk, stand, stretch, bend and kneel.
- Work in a fast-paced and busy environment.
- Work indoors and be exposed to various environmental factors such as, but not limited to, CRT, noise, dust, and cigarette smoke.
