Job Description
As an Expanded Function Dental Assistant (EFDA), you will play a vital role in supporting our dentists and ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow within our practice. You will be responsible for a variety of clinical tasks, from assisting with procedures to performing expanded functions by Ohio state regulations.

You will be responsible for a variety of clinical tasks, from assisting with procedures to performing expanded functions by Ohio state regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Assist the dentist during various procedures including restorative, surgical, and diagnostic treatments.
Perform expanded functions including but not limited to restoration, sealant application, and radiographic imaging.
Prepare and sterilize instruments and maintain a clean and organized operatory.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) in compliance with Ohio state laws.
Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-treatment care, and preventive measures.
Manage patient records and ensure accurate documentation of procedures and treatments.
Provide exceptional patient care, addressing any concerns or questions with empathy and professionalism.
Qualifications
Valid EFDA license in the state of Ohio.
Current CPR certification.
Proficiency in dental radiography and knowledge of OSHA infection control protocols.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
