- Preparing patients for dental work.
- Helping with infection control by sterilizing and disinfecting instruments, setting up instrument trays, preparing materials, and assisting with dental procedures.
- Assisting the dentist with procedures when necessary.
- Providing great patient care.
- Recording treatment information in patient records.
- Giving patients information on dental hygiene, oral health care, and plaque control programs.
- Upholding equipment standards/protecting and maintaining all dental tools in the practice
- Collecting and recording medical and dental histories and patient vital signs.
- Providing postoperative instructions as directed by the dentist.
- Maintaining all HIPAA and OSHA required trainings and compliance
- Upholding equipment standards/protecting and maintaining all dental tools in the practice
- At least 1 year of dental assisting experience is preferred
- Be self-motivated, organized, and have a positive attitude
- Possess great understanding of dental terminology
- Have excellent communication and written skills
- Have excellent public relations skills
- Work well with patients and team
- Be experienced in delivering high-level customer service
- Committed to the position arriving on time daily and staying late as needed.
