The Demand Planner is responsible for analyzing sales data and market trends in order forecast future demand for specific product portfolios supporting the North America sales region. The Demand Planner is responsible for developing and maintaining accurate forecast models, collaborating with key stakeholders to collect market intelligence, analyzing demand patterns, and participating actively in consensus meetings with the commercial and finance teams to develop the regional demand plan for the next 12 to 18 months. The Demand Planner provides key regional inputs to the Global Supply Chain Planning team to ensure that customer service levels are maintained while optimizing supply chain efficiency and inventory.

Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, operations management, business, or a related field.

The Demand Planner is responsible for analyzing sales data and market trends in order forecast future demand for specific product portfolios supporting the North America sales region. The Demand Planner provides key regional inputs to the Global Supply Chain Planning team to ensure that customer service levels are maintained while optimizing supply chain efficiency and inventory.
Essential Duties
Demand Planning
- Analyze sales data and market trends to identify trends, patterns and anomalies that impact demand.
- Develop and maintain accurate monthly demand plan for specific product portfolios, using statistical forecasting tools.
- Collaborate with marketing, commercial and finance teams to collect marketing intelligence to ensure alignment of the demand plan with business goals.
- Track forecast accuracy and bias indicators, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions.
- Prepare forecast and inventory reports for management, highlighting key trends and potential issues.
- Align with Global Supply Chain Planning on any supply constraints to the demand plan and identify solutions with cross functional teams to best meet business objectives.
- The Demand Planner will also support the regional Inventory Planner.
- Proactively communicate supply status and highlight risks to the Customer Service and Commercial teams, ensuring transparency and driving mitigation plans.
- Provide internal stakeholders with timely and accurate updates on open orders, backorders, product availability, and lead times.
- Oversees and guides the execution of inbound flows, including shipment notifications, inbound transactions, discrepancy management, and escalations to ensure supply continuity.
- Ensures proper execution of SOPs related to inventory planning, receipt, distribution, and warehouse operations.
- Performing and overseeing inventory control tasks and stock movements to maintain data integrity.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, operations management, business, or a related field.
Experience
- Minimum 5-years experience in demand planning.
- Comprehensive understanding of end-to-end global supply chains.
- Experience in ERP (SAP preferred), Advanced Planning and Scheduling, and Demand Planning software.
- Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office products (Project, Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Preferable experience in the medical device/ healthcare sector
- Strong analytical skills for efficient data extraction and comparison.
- Excellent planning skills: focus on accuracy, attention to detail and meeting of deadlines.
- Interpersonal skills necessary to influence change effectively across internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to function as a leader, an individual contributor, and in a team environment.
- Display the ability to shift priorities as required by the supply chain organization and its internal and external customers.
- Ability to anticipate problems and diffuse impacts in dynamic market conditions.
- Mindset for continuous improvement & opportunities to refine standardized processes.
- Ability to communicate effectively with clear, concise and organized information, both verbally and in writing.
