We are seeking a data-driven, analytical, and innovative Database Marketing Analyst to join our growing marketing and analytics team. This high-impact role will be responsible for generating actionable insights through analysis of customer data, maintaining data integrity, and supporting marketing optimization efforts. You’ll play a key part in bridging the gap between data and marketing to deliver measurable results.

Key Responsibility Areas


Marketing and Analytics

  • Write advanced SQL queries to extract customer data, campaign metrics, and behavioral trends.
  • Analyze customer databases to evaluate campaign effectiveness and customer behavior.
  • Develop dashboards and reports using SQL and visualization tools (e.g. Excel, PowerBI).
  • Support the execution of direct mail campaigns, including audience selection, list management, and performance analysis.
  • Validate and import list hygiene and circulation files sourced from marketing partners to our in-house database. Perform complex data extraction, segmentation, and reporting to support marketing initiatives.
  • Design and analyze marketing and website A/B tests to measure campaign effectiveness, identify performance drivers, and inform strategic improvements.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop data-driven marketing strategies that improve campaign ROI and drive sales.
  • Build and maintain efficient processes for recurring and ad hoc data pulls to support campaign execution.
  • Track campaign performance, analyze results, and develop actionable insights for continuous improvement.
  • Work with Data Warehouse and IT teams to source and validate new data inputs, resolve database issues, and ensure data integrity.
  • Develop and present advanced analytics related to customer segmentation, performance, and campaign effectiveness to leadership.
  • Contribute to the development of circulation and revenue forecasts.
  • Maintain and update marketing databases to ensure accuracy and usability for ongoing initiatives.
  • Create documentation and procedures for interacting with internal systems and managing campaign workflows.
  • Participate in training and mentoring efforts to strengthen analytical capabilities within the marketing team.


Required Experience, Skills, and Education

  • 3-5 years of experience in database marketing,
  • 3-5 years of experience with SQL and relational databases. Experience managing large data sets and using data analysis tools to inform marketing strategy. Excellent problem-solving skills and an ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. Effective communication skills for cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder presentations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (e.g. pivot tables, advanced formulas, Power Query).
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Excel, PowerBI, Tableau) a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business, Digital Commerce, Statistics, or a related field.
