Purpose

The Data & Systems Manager (Workforce Data Lead) is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, usability, and defensibility of all workforce development data. This role supports compliance, grant reporting, audits, and leadership decision-making by maintaining clean data systems and producing timely, reliable reports across programs.

This position does not manage staff but serves as the organization’s subject-matter expert for workforce data systems and reporting.

Primary Function: Data Integrity, Reporting, and Decision Support

Core Responsibilities

Data Systems Management

  • Manage workforce data across Salesforce, case management platforms, and internal dashboards
  • Maintain system workflows, fields, and data structures aligned with program and grant requirements
  • Ensure consistent data entry standards across workforce programs

Data Integrity & Compliance

  • Monitor data quality, completeness, and accuracy across all workforce records
  • Develop and maintain data documentation standards, SOPs, and validation checks
  • Support internal reviews, monitoring visits, and audits by producing defensible data sets

Reporting & Analytics

  • Produce recurring performance, compliance, and outcome reports for leadership and funders
  • Support local, state, and federal grant reporting requirements (e.g., WIOA, county, state contracts)
  • Build and maintain dashboards to track enrollment, attendance, outcomes, credentials, and retention

Decision Support & Risk Identification

  • Analyze workforce data to identify trends, risks, gaps, and performance issues
  • Flag data-related compliance concerns proactively to the Workforce Development Manager
  • Provide insights that support program improvement and strategic planning

Key Competencies & Technical Skills

  • Workforce data systems and reporting structures
  • Salesforce (or comparable CRM platforms)
  • Case management software and participant tracking systems
  • Data validation, quality control, and documentation standards
  • Dashboard development and reporting tools
  • Understanding of workforce grant compliance and audit expectations

Required Qualifications

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Public Administration, Workforce Development, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 3+ years of experience managing programmatic or workforce data systems
  • Demonstrated experience producing grant-compliant reports
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation discipline
  • Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills; reporting or dashboard tools preferred

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting WIOA-funded or publicly funded workforce programs
  • Salesforce Administrator or reporting experience
  • Familiarity with audit preparation and monitoring visits

Employment Type: Part-Time

Schedule: 30 hours per week/ Mon-Friday

The Pay Range For This Role Is

32 - 38 USD per hour(MusicBreeds HQ)
