Overview
Sigma Squared is seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join our team. You'll work closely with our data scientists to design, build and maintain the infrastructure that powers our insights & analytics platform for our customers. This role is based in our Cambridge, MA office and is on-site full time.

Sigma Squared is seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join our team. You'll work closely with our data scientists to design, build and maintain the infrastructure that powers our insights & analytics platform for our customers. This role is based in our Cambridge, MA office and is on-site full time.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with data science, product, GTM and other engineers to define data requirements, architecture, and implementation of data-driven features.
- Explore advanced analytics and leverage data engineering practices to create value for our customers through actionable insights and innovative experiences.
- Design and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes to support analytics and ML workloads.
- Ensure data reliability, quality, and accessibility across the platform.
- Share ideas for improving the product, the technology, and the process.
- Write high quality, testable, maintainable code.
- Contribute to code reviews, infrastructure improvements, software architecture, and more.
- Tech you'll use: Snowflake, dbt Platform, Dagster, Lambda, etc.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent additional professional experience).
- Proficiency in Python, SQL and Pandas.
- Working knowledge of large scale data systems and tooling.
- Cloud infrastructure technology (AWS) experience and a friendly, flexible disposition.
