About The Role

• We are looking for a Data Engineer who thrives at the intersection of data infrastructure and analysis. In this role, you'll be responsible for building and maintaining data pipelines, analyzing data to support decision-making, and creating insightful dashboards. You'll work closely with stakeholders (including founders and executives) across the business and use ClickHouse as the backbone of our data warehouse architecture.
• This is a hybrid position. Candidates must reside in the local area and are required to work from the office at least two days per week, specifically on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Team members are also encouraged to make additional use of the office on other days throughout the week, based on their preference.
  
  

What You'll Do

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain efficient and scalable ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Build and optimize data models and queries in ClickHouse for performance and cost efficiency.
• Own the data warehouse schema, become the main authority on the analytics system.
• Develop Semantic Data Models to allow BI users to easily interact with our data.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and data notebooks using HEX to support various teams, including product, marketing, and operations.
• Analyze large datasets to identify trends, anomalies, and actionable insights.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver self-serve solutions.
• Ensure data integrity, quality, and security through proper validation, monitoring, and governance practices.
• Document data pipelines, models, and dashboard logic to support transparency and maintainability.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with event-based or streaming data systems (Temporal, Pulsar, Kafka, Spark Streaming, etc.).
• Experience with databases, compute, object storage, and serverless functions on major cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Familiarity with CI/CD workflows and version-controlled data infrastructure.
• Understanding of data governance, privacy, and security best practices.
• Prior experience working in a fast-paced startup or product-driven environment.
  
  

Salary & Perks

$130,000 - $160,000 per year

The compensation range provided is in compliance with state specific laws. Factors that may be used to determine your actual rate of pay include your specific skills, years of experience and other factors.
