About the position: As the Data Analyst, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our data infrastructure while driving business intelligence initiatives. This role encompasses aspects of database administration, data engineering, and advanced business intelligence analysis. You will conduct full lifecycle analysis, develop queries, clean and analyze data, build reports, and create data visualizations. You will also oversee data architecture, ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, and provide strategic insights to drive decision-making across the organization. This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape our data infrastructure, drive data-driven decision-making, and contribute to the success of clinical trials through innovative data solutions.

What you'll do:

Data Engineering:

  • Implement data ingestion pipelines from primary and secondary data sources
  • Optimize database performance and develop backup/recovery strategies
  • Filter and "clean" data by reviewing reports and performance indicators
  • Assign appropriate permissions following HIPAA, FDA, and 21 CFR Part 11 healthcare regulations

Business Intelligence and Analytics:

  • Interpret data and analyze results using statistical techniques
  • Develop and implement data analytics systems and strategies to optimize efficiency and quality
  • Create and maintain data visualizations, dashboards, and reports using tools such as SSRS, Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, SFDC, or Alteryx
  • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
  • Provide analysis of departmental metrics and KPIs to provide leaders with actionable insights
  • Provide guidance on creation and maintenance of company-wide KPI and metric definitions

Solutions Architecture:

  • Design, implement, and maintain SQL databases and data warehouses
  • Develop and manage ETL processes for data transformation and loading
  • Ensure data quality, consistency, and integrity across systems
  • Collaborate with department leadership to develop and maintain reporting tools

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Other duties as assigned
  • Clinical Trial Support:
    • Design and configure electronic case report forms (eCRFs)
    • Assist in data extraction and publishing process for clinical trials
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align data and business strategies
Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field

Experience: 3-5 years of experience in data-related roles with focus in at least 2 of the 3 above focus areas

Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

Computer Skills:

  • Proficiency in SQL and database management systems.
  • Experience with BI tools and data visualization (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, SSRS)
  • Knowledge of data engineering concepts and ETL processes
  • Familiarity with healthcare regulations (HIPAA, FDA, 21 CFR Part 11)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with big data technologies and cloud platforms such as Azure DWH/DL, GCP, AWS, DataBricks, Snowflake, etc.
  • Knowledge of machine learning and predictive analytics
  • Relevant certifications in data technologies or methodologies

This is an onsite position at our Little Rock, AR office and the candidate will need to live within an hour of the main office in Little Rock.
