About The Job
The Customs & Compliance Manager ensures trade compliance across the Americas, overseeing import/export operations, customs procedures, and inbound freight. This role manages logistics providers, optimizes costs, mitigates risks, and collaborates with internal teams and external partners to ensure regulatory adherence and supply chain efficiency. About The Job
The Customs & Compliance Manager ensures trade compliance across the Americas, overseeing import/export operations, customs procedures, and inbound freight. This role manages logistics providers, optimizes costs, mitigates risks, and collaborates with internal teams and external partners to ensure regulatory adherence and supply chain efficiency. Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Customs & Compliance
- Ensure trade and customs compliance across the Americas, overseeing imports, exports, FTZ, and special procedures.
- Maintain accurate trade data (HTS, COO, Preferential Origin) in SAP, monitor quality, and mitigate risks.
- Translate regulatory changes into business practices and manage broker/agent relationships.
- Apply for binding rulings, ensure audit readiness, and oversee data storage compliance.
- Act as the main contact for trade compliance and track performance through KPIs.
- Manage logistics service providers (LSPs) for transportation across the Americas, ensuring cost efficiency and performance.
- Align LSPs on service levels, volumes, and peak periods while optimizing transport management practices.
- Benchmark rates, design distribution models, and resolve operational issues.
- Monitor LSP performance, enforce SLAs, and develop inbound transport dashboards.
- Support logistics growth, act as an SME, and assist in LSP negotiations and contracts.
We are looking for a unique and amazing talent, who brings along the following:
- Bachelor's degree supply chain, Logistics, or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in customs compliance and freight management.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in SAP and other relevant software.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
- Government customs portal (nice to have)
