Description
We are looking for a creative leader for our internal agency Global Studio in driving a consistent brand vision for the Amazon brand globally. This creative lead role falls under Amazon central brand and creative team, bringing exceptional ideas with a high level of craft to global and partner teams.
Key job responsibilities
Amazon XCM is seeking a visionary creative leader to drive world-class global campaigns across Amazon. This role will lead the conceptualization, execution, and scaling of breakthrough, global 360 creative assets (TV, social, digital, OOH, etc) and will be crucial in delivering concepts and copy in Amazon's unique brand voice. The ideal candidate has a passion for world-class work, is a digital native with global experience, a strong editorial background, and thrives in a fast-paced, creative environment.
At Amazon, XCM Creative Directors are hands-on; a combination of creative powerhouse that rolls up to developing work as individual contributor, while also capable of collaborating and leading teams, both internal and with agency partners. We're looking for someone with strong strategic knowledge, who can make intentional choices, and is excited to tackle new creative challenges every day.
The ideal candidate works fast, can quickly discern the needs of a project, and responds to creative briefs with fresh ideas and strategic thinking. They professionally present their work, with enthusiasm for both inspired creative and logical thinking. They have experience working across multiple marketing channels and understand the complexities and creative implications of a global brand. They are a problem solver with strong bias for action and with an entrepreneurial spirit of constantly looking to develop practices to harness new ways of thinking.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $127,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $210,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. Basic Qualifications
- 8+ years of driving compelling creative strategy and execution at an agency or in-house creative team experience
- Bachelor's degree
- A portfolio demonstrating integrated campaigns spanning TV/Film, digital, OOH, social media, design and radio.
- 5+ years experience overseeing creative teams in some management capacity. (internal team of copywriters, art directors, designers, external agencies and freelancers)
- Proven copywriting skills, from campaign concepts, to headlines, to scripts, with an ability deliver engaging copy across a range of different brands and tones
- Effective at scaling creative campaigns across channels for global audiences
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and juggle multiple projects simultaneously
- Effectively develop cross functional relationships with product, consumer research and marketing teams to develop strategy and consumer insights that drive compelling creative executions.
- Deep understanding of digital marketing, emerging platforms, and audience-centric messaging principles
- Experience working on a brand with global scale and the ability to adapt to different cultures.
- Present creative concepts effectively to senior executives
- Experience with a world-class advertising agency or consultancy.
- Curiosity to dig several layers deep into success metrics, have an innate desire to understand key drivers.
- Proficiency in Figma, Keynote
- Proven track record of taking ownership and driving results on creative projects
- Self-motivated team player, with refined and assertive leadership skills.
- The ability to influence others to set and achieve goals and deadlines.
- Foster a creative culture that embraces experimentation, leverages the latest technologies, and consistently raises the bar
