Location: Chesapeake, VA – Indian Creek Correctional Center
Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours, Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-4:00 PM or 7:45 AM-4:45 PM with a 1-hour unpaid lunch. 9 openings.
Pay Rate: $52,000 ($25.00/hr.); candidates with CSAC, CADC, or equivalent certifications/licenses eligible for $58,000 ($27.88/hr.)
Benefits include health, dental, vision insurance; 401k with company contribution; paid time off; tuition reimbursement; and service/entertainment discounts.

The Counselor's Responsibilities
- Serve as a role model and create a social learning treatment environment.
- Provide counseling services, including group and individual sessions, case management, and clinical documentation.
- Collaborate with Department of Corrections staff to ensure quality services and support recovery-focused environment for individuals with substance use disorders.
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Services or related field required.
- State certification as a Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC) or similar credential recognized by the Virginia Board of Professional Counselors required within two years of employment.
