Sonstegard Foods Company is a leading manufacturer and wholesaler of shell eggs along with powdered, liquid and frozen egg products. We operate facilities in five states and sell our products into domestic and international markets. Our Corporate office in Sioux Falls, SD has an immediate opening for a Sales Coordinator. This position supports the sales team by handling administrative and organizational tasks, ensuring smooth sales operations and effective communications. This role includes managing schedules, processing orders, maintaining databases, and providing support to sales representatives. This role generally is not responsible for direct sales but has sound knowledge of the company procurement and sales methodologies.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

  • Sales Support – Providing administrative and logistical support to the sales team, including scheduling meetings, managing client communication, and preparing sales reports.
  • Order Processing – Handling sales orders, ensuring accuracy and timely processing, and coordinating with other departments like logistics and finance.
  • Customer Relationship Management (CRM) – Maintaining and updating customer databases, tracking interactions, and ensuring data integrity.
  • Communication – Acting as a primary point of contact for customers, addressing inquiries, responding to a variety of customer requests as well as relaying information between sales team and customers.
  • Documentation – Organizing and managing sales related documents, contracts, as well as ordering marketing materials and maintaining strict document control.
  • Coordination – facilitating communication and collaboration between the sales team and other departments such as Quality, Operations and Finance.
  • Reporting – Generating and analyzing sales reports weekly and monthly to track performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Product Sheets – Update and maintain catalog of product specification sheets, ensuring appropriate document control.
  • Accounts Receivable – Generate customer invoices and coordinate with Finance on aging invoices.

EDUCATION And / Or EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related sales support experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate as appropriate.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
