Overview

The Core Systems Administrator will facilitate the effective use of the Core Banking system by applying technical knowledge to support, automate, and enhance the system. Serve as the administrator of the Opcon Enterprise Automation system, adhering to standards and performing daily, monthly, and annual tasks to support core system operations. Analyze projects to identify and propose solutions that may include opportunities to automate functions, streamline data interactions between systems, and ensure accurate, efficient, and effective operations for credit union staff.

Maintain a working knowledge of third-party systems that directly interact with the Core Banking system, with a focus on integration.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Includes the following non-inclusive list. Other duties may be assigned. All duties are to be performed in compliance with applicable laws, regulations as well as Credit Union policies and procedures:

  • Perform regular system monitoring of core banking system, ensuring processes are performed in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Create and modify automation schedules and tasks using OpCon, Microsoft PowerShell, or other approved technologies.
  • Assist with the testing of core systems software releases.
  • Occasional on-call after-hours support during night and weekends to support the core systems.
  • Assist with the implementation of new processes, working with vendors and other departments as needed.
  • Proactively seek opportunities to leverage our core systems to their fullest potential including implementation of interfaces and new features that are introduced as part of system upgrades.
  • Respond to and resolve core systems support requests.
  • Participate in disaster recovery tests.
  • Create and maintain documentation for daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly tasks, and other needed documentation.
  • Accomplish organizational goals by taking ownership of new and varied requests; explore opportunities that add value to the department.
  • Manage core systems databases with consideration of space, access/security, and purpose.
  • Continually build knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, attending conferences, and participating in professional organizations.
  • Protect the organization's value by actively keeping information confidential and performing duties with a security-focused mindset.
  • Document and update procedures.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or similar is preferred.

Two years’ experience working in a financial institution or similar industry is preferred.

General understanding of Windows operating system and Microsoft Office applications.

Experience using a core banking system, such as Corelation Keystone, JHA Symitar, or Fiserv DNA is preferred.

Salary Range: $33.59 -$50.38
