At Ankrom Moisan, we are more than an award-winning Architecture and Interior Design firm, we’re a vibrant, collaborative community with offices in Portland, Seattle, and San Francisco. Our work spans the West Coast and includes diverse project types such as Urban Living, Student Housing, Senior Communities, Healthcare, Hospitality, Workplace, and Retail environments.
We’re seeking a Contract Web Developer to help us bring our creative vision to life through engaging, user-focused digital experiences. This role is fully remote and offers flexible collaboration across our design and marketing teams. Candidates must be available during Pacific Time (West Coast) business hours.

You’ll collaborate with internal stakeholders, including marketing, design, and leadership, to implement creative solutions that are both user-friendly and brand-aligned.

We’re seeking someone who not only knows how to code but can think like a designer and act like a strategist.
You will…
- Collaborate with our marketing and design teams to develop and implement web updates.
- Translate design mockups or concepts into responsive, high-performance code.
- Streamline site architecture and navigation for better usability.
- Improve visual consistency and elevate aesthetics through modern UI components.
- Proactively identify areas for technical or design improvement.
- Ensure accessibility, performance optimization, and cross-browser compatibility.
- Help evolve CMS templates or modular systems for ease of future updates.
- Integrate APIs such as Open Asset or other asset management systems.
- Support responsive design and back-end functionality to ensure a seamless digital experience.
- Coordinate with hosting environments such as Pantheon or WP Engine for deployment and site performance.
- 3+ years of front-end web development experience (freelance or agency work welcome).
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern frameworks (React, Vue, or similar).
- Familiarity with CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress, Web flow, or custom CMS).
- Strong understanding of UX/UI best practices and accessibility standards.
- Experience with back-end development fundamentals and API integration.
- Demonstrated ability to implement design-forward, user-centric solutions.
- Bonus: Experience developing websites for the Architecture, Design, or AEC industry.
- Hourly rate based on experience: $50–$150/hr
