Brief Description

Job Summary:

The Continuing Education (CE) Reviewer is responsible for critical thinking regarding CE program content, provider eligibility, and NBCC Continuing Education Provider Policy compliance. The CE Reviewer will also engage in regular communications with CE providers and applicants. The CE Reviewer is responsible for timely reviews, providing active feedback and input into the processes within the department, as well as participation in team discussions with the goal of continued improvement, consistency, and quality assurance for all reviews.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Reviews Approved Continuing Education Provider (ACEP) applications for ACEP status.
  • Reviews Single Program approval applications.
  • Assists with reviews of ACEP Audits.
  • Assists with reviews of Single Program Audits.
  • Assists with reviews of Co-sponsorship applications.
  • Produces written communication and decision letters to applicants, ACEPs, and other stakeholders.
  • Communicates verbally with applicants, ACEPs, and other stakeholders.
  • Operates virtual communication platforms, including telephone and video conferencing.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent with an emphasis in mental health, social work, human services, higher education, or accreditation required
  • 2 years' related experience in regulation and/or policy compliance
  • Familiarity with graduate-level counseling and counseling regulatory standards
  • Working knowledge of counseling theories, diagnoses, and practices
  • Working knowledge of the internet, company databases, and queries
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required

Preferred Education/Experience:

  • Master's degree with an emphasis in mental health, social work, human services, higher education, or accreditation
  • 2 years' related experience and/or training
  • Licensed Professional Counselor

  • Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Outlook, and Excel
  • Teams (chat, video calls)
  • Zoom (meetings and calls)

Travel Requirements:

  • Up to 5% travel

Essential Physical Demands:

  • Moving self in different positions such as twisting, crawling, or kneeling to accomplish tasks in various environments, including tight and confined spaces.
  • Remaining in a standing position for prolonged periods.
  • Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one workspace to another.
  • Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers such as simple grasping, keyboarding, or fine manipulation.
  • Ability to use hands, including hand–eye coordination.
  • Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting.
