Key Responsibilities
- Project Coordination & Administration:
- Distribute plans, specifications, and bid invitations to subcontractors while managing the solicitation process.
- Assist project managers in developing and maintaining project budgets and financial forecasts.
- Ensure accurate and timely processing of subcontractor and owner pay requisitions.
- Establish and maintain the project filing system to ensure all documents are organized and up to date.
- Maintain the Submittal Log, coordinating timely approvals for shop drawings, samples, and specifications.
- Prepare and track change orders, keeping an accurate Change Order Log with architect and owner approvals.
- Assemble project close-out documentation, including as-built drawings, warranties, and operations manuals.
- Field Support & Quality Control:
- Collaborate with Project and Site Operations Managers to coordinate project execution and scheduling.
- Assist in job site meetings, quality control efforts, and on-site coordination.
- Document subcontractor performance and escalate concerns as needed.
- Manage and process purchase orders and subcontract agreements.
- Assist in material procurement, equipment rentals, and logistics for project sites.
- Team Collaboration & Growth:
- Act as a company liaison with subcontractors, addressing concerns and ensuring smooth communication.
- Maintain open communication with project leadership to ensure project success.
- Stay up to date on industry trends and enhance knowledge through professional training and development.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred OR equivalent industry experience.
- Experience: Background in commercial construction with knowledge of project coordination, budget tracking, and administrative duties.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) required.
- Experience with RedTeam (preferred) or similar construction project management software.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings is a plus.
- Soft Skills: Strong organization, problem-solving abilities, and effective communication skills.
