Summary/objective

We are seeking a highly motivated Construction Management Intern to join our team for a summer internship program. This role is ideal for students or recent graduates looking to gain real-world experience in project coordination, construction site operations, and team collaboration within the disaster recovery and restoration field.

Essential Functions

  • Assist with planning and coordinating construction and restoration projects.
  • Conduct on-site visits to monitor project progress and ensure compliance with safety standards and protocols.
  • Support project managers, engineers, and field teams in resolving construction-related challenges.
  • Contribute to the preparation and review of project documentation, including daily logs, reports, and schedules.
  • Gain exposure to project management tools and software systems used in the field.
  • Participate in team meetings and assist in client communication as needed.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related program.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a proactive attitude and willingness to learn. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, G Suite or related software
  • If applicable, participate in a 24-hour on-call rotation to respond to emergency losses after hours. Interns will be supported by senior staff and trained prior to any on-call duties.**

  • Office and administrative environments
  • Residential and commercial work sites

Physical demands

  • Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds at a time
  • Prolonged periods of exposure to noise created by power tools, equipment and heavy machinery
  • Exposure to standard work site environments

Travel Required

  • Minimum travel outside the immediate operating area may be required

Learning & Development Goals

  • Gain insight into construction project lifecycle from planning to closeout.
  • Learn how to navigate job site challenges, communicate effectively with stakeholders, and apply safety protocols.
  • Build technical and soft skills to support future careers in construction management.
