Join our team as a Compliance Specialist (Regulatory Affairs) at American National! As a full-time team member, you will assist in processing, implementing, and maintaining corporate compliance legislative and regulatory management programs to facilitate the company’s efforts to effectively communicate with and respond to the needs of our regulators. You will report to the Manager of Corporate Compliance and work onsite at one of the noted home office campuses; Glenmont, New York; or League City, Texas.

What You’ll Do
- Collaborating with compliance team members and business partners to administer legislative and regulatory management programs, such as regulatory inquiry and examination management, complaint administration, and regulatory change management
- Assisting with tracking key measures to assess the effectiveness of compliance programs
- Reviewing reports, compiling information and data, preparing correspondence, and participating in special department projects
- Preparing compliance reports and materials for management committees
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent & relevant work experience
- Internships, work experience, or degree programs in legislation, compliance, or regulatory fields that demonstrate your ability to transfer your applicable skills
- Ability to build proactive partnerships
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Quality orientation with high work standards
- Adaptability and intellectual curiosity
- Creative problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- A compliance-related degree or certification (e.g., Associate in Regulatory Compliance)
- Exposure to regulatory databases such as RegEd
- Experience with Department of Insurance regulations
