Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Strategic Community Engagement & Collaboration
- Establish, strengthen, and maintain high-impact partnerships with community agencies, community businesses, nonprofits, health providers, educational institutions, and social services across three states.
- Align partnership strategies with the PFCE Framework and the HSELOF to support comprehensive family services and school readiness goals.
- Facilitate the development of Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) or other formal agreements to ensure collaboration supports HSPPS compliance.
- Family Service Delivery Integration
- Work collectively with the Program Directors to implement coordinated referral systems and a collaborative service delivery model/s that meet the needs of children and families.
- Partner with Family Services staff to ensure families are connected to local resources, reducing barriers to engagement, attendance, and school readiness.
- Oversight of Non-Federal Share (NFS) Donations
- Identify and secure in-kind goods and services that directly support program operations and family engagement initiatives.
- Ensure all NFS donations are properly documented and reported in accordance with Head Start fiscal and grant management requirements.
- Leadership & Travel
- Provide leadership across a multi-state area, traveling regularly as necessary to engage community stakeholders, attend events, and support local staff.
- Adapt strategies to regional needs while ensuring consistent quality and compliance.
- Internal Collaboration & Compliance
- Work closely with Program Directors, Family Services Managers, Education Managers, and Regional Directors to ensure cross-functional alignment/coordinated approach with each program area.
- Partners with Program Managers/Directors, monitoring efforts to ensure compliance with HSPPS related to community partnerships and family service delivery.
- Performance Management & Reporting
- Meet or exceed annual goals for active community partnerships and in-kind donation value.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation using agency-approved systems (e.g., Go-Engage other UMOS Record Keeping systems).
- Analyze partnership data and prepare reports for internal leadership and funding agencies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Public Administration, Community Development or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in community engagement, nonprofit partnership management, or family services.
- Intermediate skills within Microsoft Office 365
- Proven ability to build and manage multi-sector partnerships across large geographic areas.
- Strong understanding of in-kind donation documentation, valuation, and reporting.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish or other relevant language) oral and written, preferred.
- Communicate fluently in English in oral and written communication.
- Maintain a valid drivers license and vehicle insurance.
- This position requires regular travel both intrastate / interstate with some irregular work hours.
