This position is responsible for developing and managing a portfolio of larger commercial real estate relationships. Success in this position requires an active business development strategy, thorough credit analysis work and aggressive cross selling of company products and services.

Responsibilities

  • Establishes goals and objectives and plans and organizes to meet them.
  • Regularly evaluates and reports progress in meeting goals and objectives.
  • Represents the bank in a manner that maintains, expands, and develops business relationships. Participating in community affairs to increase the bank’s visibility and to enhance new business opportunities.
  • Ensure keeping present accounts through good customer relations and efficient service.
  • Participates in the selection of personnel and provides for their proper training and development.
  • Evaluates performance, recommends salary increases and promotions, and provides counseling and guidance for subordinates.
  • Develop and motivate bank personnel to maintain a high level of employee moral and performance.
  • Provides for loans to customers within prescribed limitations of lending authority.
  • Supervises and makes decisions relative to operations of the bank.
  • Maintains physical property and equipment to assure that they are adequate and in proper working order.
  • Follows established precautionary procedures to assure that maximum security prevail at all times.
  • Supervise and assist in the bank’s budget, and also to establish goals and objectives.
  • Manage the sales effort in the bank.


Qualifications

  • Complete knowledge of all bank functions in connection with its operations.
  • Ability to communicate with others internally and externally.
  • Complete knowledge of all bank policies and procedures.
  • Good knowledge of Federal Laws and banking regulations involving bank operation, personnel, security, interest rates, etc.
  • Ability to lead and instill confidence in others.
  • Ability to deal effectively and tactfully with a variety of business contacts, all bank personnel as well as bank customers and prospective customers.
  • A college degree in a business related field and/or equivalent training through banking school, etc. three to five years prior banking experience is necessary.
