Job Overview

Superior Heating and Air Conditioning Inc is seeking a seasoned Commercial HVAC Estimator to join our Estimating Department. This role is ideal for an experienced estimator who can deliver accurate, timely, and competitive bids that drive consistent project wins. The right candidate will have a strong understanding of mechanical systems, commercial HVAC scopes, and estimating best practices. Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To

• Generate timely and accurate project bids with a focus on precision and competitiveness
• Partner with suppliers to ensure optimal pricing and rebate opportunities
• Interpret full construction plans/specifications and conduct job walks
• Maintain strong communication with customers, reflecting professionalism and company values
• Coordinate with leadership to align bidding with company goals and strategies
• Lead pre-planning efforts (shop drawings, VE, mobilization)
• Clarify scopes and identify non-standard project conditions
• Participate in turnover and budgeting with PM and Field departments
• Follow up on estimates and maintain customer relationships
• Forecast labor needs and project revenue
• Price, negotiate, and manage change orders
  
  

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of experience in commercial HVAC/mechanical estimating
• Strong mechanical systems knowledge
• Proven track record with project estimates ranging from $10,000 to $1,000,000
• Ability to estimate a minimum of $3 million in revenue annually
• Proficient with mechanical plans, MS Word, Excel, and preferably Procore
• Detail-oriented with excellent time management and communication skills
• Professional certifications (CPE or CCE) are a plus
