Job Overview

Prime Retail Services is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Commercial Construction Estimator to join our growing team in Flowery Branch, GA. In this critical role, you'll play a key part in the preconstruction process, reviewing plans, preparing accurate and competitive estimates, and collaborating with project teams to deliver projects on time and on budget. Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To

• Review project plans, specifications, and documents to prepare accurate, detailed estimates.
• Manage the bid process, ensuring a minimum of three bids per trade are obtained.
• Perform quantity take-offs for materials, labor, and equipment.
• Conduct site walk-throughs and evaluations of existing conditions.
• Attend periodic project reviews and collaborate with on-site construction teams.
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier proposals for scope and cost accuracy.
• Analyze historical data and develop unit cost estimates.
• Prepare and present comprehensive bid packages.
• Collaborate with project managers to develop project budgets and schedules.
• Identify project risks and recommend value engineering solutions.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Track and document estimate data for future reference.
  
  

Qualifications

• Required Experience
• Minimum 5 years of estimating experience in commercial construction (e.g., retail, offices, education, healthcare).
• Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Solid understanding of construction processes, materials, and methods.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction documents.
• Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
• Preferred Experience
• None required beyond minimum qualifications.
• Education
• BS degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• Additional Eligibility
• In lieu of a degree, 6+ years of commercial construction estimating experience.
