Work Status: Onsite

Position Summary:

Performs a variety of routine duties involved in the set-up and operation of Matsura and Mori Seiki CNC Machines and the parts washer and parts dryer to produce quality precision parts to close tolerances for use in the assembly of company products. Assembles small parts into sub-assemblies internal to machining for use in the PRV Department.

Measures of success:

  • Meet Safety requirements, all PPE must always be worn inside the facility
  • Meet or exceed daily production requirements (production attainment)
  • 100% accuracy on any inventory transactions and Quality requirements
  • 100% adherence to processes and material usage, no deviations

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Works from prints, set-up and tooling sheets and verbal directions to maintain set-up and assure continuous machining and assembly of quality parts, referring any problems or questionable set ups to supervisor or lead person.
  • Uses appropriate hand tools and precision measuring instruments. Handles lightweight materials and parts. Visually checks for quality and repairs defects as required to bring pieces to acceptable quality level.
  • Maintains necessary records, detects and reports faulty or defective parts, equipment or materials to proper supervision. Responsible for daily maintenance of machine and equipment.
  • Maintains work area in a clean and orderly condition. Follows all prescribed plant and machine safety regulations.
  • Performs other related work as required or directed

Qualifications:

  • 3 -5 years related experience
  • Use of mathematics together with the use and interpretation of complicated drawings, specifications, charts, various precision measuring instruments, CNC equipment and multi-machine workstations.
  • Ability to use advanced skills to make minor modifications to CNC equipment requiring advanced skills
  • Thorough technical skills knowledge, plus the application of basic machining theory.

Work Environment:

This position works primarily in a production floor environment where large equipment and noise are prevalent. Safety gear is required.

This position reports into the site every day.

This position has no direct reports.
