The Clinical Operations Intern will support the Clinical Trial Manager (CTM) and Clinical Trial Assistant (CTA) in managing clinical trial activities. This role involves tracking, data entry, document management, and assisting with various sponsor oversight activities to ensure smooth execution of clinical trials. The Clinical Operations Intern will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in clinical operations and contribute to the success of ongoing studies.

Responsibilities

  • Sponsor Oversight Activities:
    • Perform data entry of site and investigator status.
    • Monitor and update records of clinical trial invoices and expenses.
    • Collect, organize, and file essential clinical trial documents in compliance with regulatory and organizational standards.
  • Document Review:
    • Conduct reviews of clinical trial documents for accuracy and completeness.
  • Meeting Support:
    • Assist in preparing study team meeting agendas.
    • Take detailed meeting minutes and distribute them to the team.
  • Special Projects:
    • Support the creation and maintenance of the investigator database.
    • Contribute to the development of trial graphics and other materials.
Qualifications

  • Interest in clinical research and clinical operations.
  • Basic knowledge of clinical trial processes and regulations (e.g., GCP).
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Intern must be enrolled at an accredited College, pursuing an AS degree or certificate program in life sciences, healthcare or a related field.
  • Intern must be approved by Massachusetts Life Science Center Internship Program.
