The Clinical Contracts and Transactions Processing Manager is responsible for managing and optimizing clinical outsourcing and contracting processes, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and strategic project delivery for the Strategic Partnerships and Outsourcing (SP&O) team. This role integrates strong accounting and analytical responsibilities with project management skills to drive process excellence across a global, fast-paced clinical business.

Please note: Remote candidates are welcome; however, preference will be given to those residing in the Eastern U.S. time zone.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Contracts & Process Management

  • Execute contract administration and processing, ensuring accuracy, compliance with policies, and timely completion from initiation through full execution and archival.
  • Initiates purchase requisitions, manages purchase orders and processes to support seamless financial transactions tied to outsourcing agreements.
  • Support the process owner(s) for critical business systems (e.g., Ariba, SAP, Contract Management System), providing subject matter expertise, system support, and user training.
  • Ensure appropriate archiving, filing, and metadata management for all contractual documents assisting with needs for Clinical Partner Outsourcing.
  • Track and route contract workload, forecasting needs and ensuring business continuity.
  • Develop, optimize, and standardize contract administration processes.
  • Manage relationships with stakeholders to deliver strong customer service and professional support.

Project Management & Strategic Operations

  • Support contract-related action planning, tracking deliverables, and monitoring timelines in collaboration with Strategic Partnerships and Outsourcing leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Pursue continuous improvement opportunities in contract management, analytics, and financial processes.
  • Assist with special projects or initiatives, as needed.

Collaboration & Communication

  • Collaborate across departmental and global teams to share best practices, ensure compliance, and drive innovation in contracting processes.
  • Communicate complex process changes and requirements in clear, accessible language.
  • Demonstrate inclusivity, teamwork, and empathy in stakeholder and team interactions.

Education and Experience

  • Associate’s degree and accounting experience required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 4+ years of analytic and coordination experience, preferably in clinical contracting, outsourcing, and accounting.
  • Direct experience with accounting functions, including:
    • Preparing, processing, and reconciling purchase orders and invoices.


    • Performing financial analysis to support contracting.


    • Working within financial and ERP (enterprise resource planning)/business systems (e.g., Ariba, SAP).
    • Expertise in clinical contract administration, financial/accounting operations, process improvement, and business analytics.

    Skills and Ability

    • Advanced proficiency with MS Office; strong aptitude for other tech-driven business systems.
    • Strong verbal and written communication, with demonstrated problem-solving and independent decision-making skills.
    • Strong accounting and analytical responsibilities with project management skills.
