Overview: Child Counselor

The Child Counselor is primarily responsible for addressing the emotional and mental needs of Casa de Misericordia children and adolescent clients.

Qualifications

  • Experience: One to two years experience in a center for victims of family violence or similar setting.
  • Required Education & Certification: Masters degree in Counseling Psychology with current licensure or currently pursuing license in the state of Texas.
  • Other: Bilingual in English and Spanish is a must. Knowledgeable about development issues and cultural sensitivities. Ability to work extended hours as needed. Ability to work with and preserve confidential information. Basic computer skills.
