Job Overview: As the Chief Operations Officer, you will oversee all aspects of Paul Murray Oil, Inc.'s daily operations. In your role, you will work closely with our executive team to develop and implement strategies that improve efficiency, productivity, and profitability. You will lead and manage all operating departments, including finance, marketing, human resources, and more. Additionally, you will provide guidance, coaching, and support to meet long- and short-term goals.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic LeadershipLead the development and execution of operational strategies to drive business growth, operational efficiency, and profitability.

Operational OversightOversee day-to-day operations across all departments, ensuring processes are efficient, resources are effectively allocated, and goals are met.

Team ManagementBuild, mentor, and lead high-performing teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Performance OptimizationImplement performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor and enhance operational performance and productivity.

Process ImprovementIdentify, design, and execute initiatives to streamline business processes, reduce costs, and improve service delivery.

Cross-functional CollaborationCollaborate with executive leadership, department heads, and other stakeholders to align operational goals with business objectives.

Risk ManagementDevelop and implement risk management strategies to minimize operational risks and ensure business continuity.

Budgeting and Financial ManagementOversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting for operations, ensuring alignment with overall business financial goals.

Technology IntegrationLead efforts to integrate new technologies and systems to enhance operational efficiency, scalability, and data-driven decision-making.

Compliance & Regulatory OversightEnsure compliance with industry regulations, internal policies, and standards, mitigating any potential legal or regulatory risks.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience 5+ years in a COO or senior leadership role, focusing on growing small businesses into larger enterprises.
  • Strong background in business operations, process implementation, and strategic planning.
  • Hands-on leadership style, with a willingness to engage in every aspect of business operations.
  • High level of integrity and commitment to ethical business practices.
  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to a new industry.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience managing budgets and financial performance.
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate complex regulatory environments and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations
