About Our Organizations: One Knoxville SC is a professional soccer club competing in USL League One, dedicated to providing family-friendly soccer entertainment and fostering a strong sense of community within Knoxville. One Knoxville SC is led by Managing Partner, Drew McKenna, on a daily basis. Drew reports to the One Knoxville SC Board of Directors.
One Knoxville Collective is a dedicated 501(c)(3) non-profit organization focused on using soccer as a force for good. Our initiatives include managing a youth soccer club with 1,600 participants, an adult recreational league with over 2,000 participants, and several community projects focused on providing the benefit of soccer to all Knoxvillians regardless of capacity. We aim to provide enriching, safe, and competitive soccer experiences that promote personal growth and community engagement. One Knoxville Collective is managed by its Board of Directors, separate from One Knoxville SC’s.
Job Summary: The Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) will play a pivotal role in managing and integrating the administrative, financial, and operational frameworks of both One Knoxville SC and One Knoxville Collective. This position demands a leader who can maintain financial integrity, ensure compliance with accounting standards and legal regulations, and support strategic decision-making in pursuit of each entity's unique goals.

This position demands a leader who can maintain financial integrity, ensure compliance with accounting standards and legal regulations, and support strategic decision-making in pursuit of each entity's unique goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Oversight: Develop and implement strategic financial and operational plans that align with the goals of both the professional club and the non-profit organization.
- Financial Management: Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and cash flow management for both entities. Work with direct reports on coding bookkeeping practices.
- Audit and Compliance: Manage annual audits, interact with external auditors, and ensure adherence to financial regulations and standards.
- Risk Management: Formulate and oversee risk management policies to ensure the financial and operational practices align with statutory regulations and internal policies.
- HR Financial Oversight: Manage HR-related financial processes such as payroll processing, benefits administration, and integrating financial metrics into broader HR planning.
- Team Leadership and Development: Lead the finance and administrative teams to ensure high performance, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
- Stakeholder Relations: Engage with stakeholders including board members, investors, and community leaders to report financial status and gain support for strategic initiatives.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- CPA or CMA certification highly preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in a senior financial leadership role, preferably with non-profit experience.
- Strong understanding of both for-profit and non-profit accounting principles.
- Proven ability in organizational management with the ability to coach senior-level staff to develop high-performance teams.
- Exceptional analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working collaboratively across different levels of an organization.
- A dynamic, leadership role within two leading soccer organization working to deliver a community-focused soccer program to Knoxville.
